Am trying to add a red arrow to a green square but it keeps going behind the green square

I am trying to add a red arrow to a green square but it keeps going behind the green square.

  1. I added square first and then coloured it green.
  2. Then I added DB4 text and then coloured it red.
  3. This was placed on the green square.
  4. I then drew a red arrow and made -Created a component.
I then tried to cut and passed it onto the green square but it just goes behind it!

Can you help please

Without an image or a model it is all guesswork but it sounds like you have the face of your green square reversed so when you paste your arrow component it puts it on the opposite face.

Sketchup uses back and front faces so that is knows what is going on. White is the default front and a blue/grey is the default back face.

Go, view/face style/ monochrome and you’ll see which way your faces are.

Hi Box,
Thanks for your prompt reply.
Is there any way I can send a SketchUp Model or a screen shot?
File is 78.1KB file size

Cheers

How do I select the coloured face of the green square as the target, in order to attach the red arrow to its face when pasting it?
Every time I past the arrow it goes behind the square, but every time I past a 3D Text it goes on the face of the green square.
