Aluminium Extrusions in Skt files

Anyone have a capral or similar aliminium extrusion dxf converted or usable in sketchup?
Looking for 100mm angled slat/louvres

If you have the DXF, why not import it yourself?

I import it just can’t use it

As I said in your other thread about this, how about showing us what you are working with.
It may well be a simple fix. Attach your .skp with the .dxf import in it.

DWG/DXF imports come in as components. You must enter the component to edit it, or explode it.

Thanks Gentlemen,
See if that works first time Ive uploaded on here.
There is some curves which would make the push pull super handy.

What you have there is quite workable, once you understand the software somewhat.
Firstly I would import it at a larger scale, metres for example, this avoids tiny face issue and may help to close gaps.
Then delete all the tags apart from untagged and let it put everything on Untagged.
change the edge style in Style settings to all the same, black.
Then it’s just a matter of closing edge gaps, basically tracing over joints where acad software tends to be sloppy and doesn’t always join ends. As you close these faces will form.
And you need to understand context. Your geometry is collected together in groups and components, this stops things sticking to each other as a mess of raw geometry and has other benefits, like edit one component and all it’s copies get edited too.
To edit a group/component you just double click to open it, work on it, the click out of the G/C or hit esc to close it. Be aware that G/Cs can be nested, so you may need to double click several times to get to the context you need to be working in.
Once you have faces you can pushpull to extrude.

Wow great work now to see if I can do that.
Thank you Box really appreciated  :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Import at larger scale?

The import dialog has options.
