I’m working on a project where I need to import a 2D view (from AutoCAD) into a curved 3D model in SketchUp. The 2D view is a technical drawing, and I need to place it accurately onto a curved surface in my SketchUp model.
I’ve already imported the AutoCAD file and positioned the 2D view, but I’m struggling with how to correctly project or align it onto the curved surface. Could anyone share the best approach for this, or suggest tools like the Drape Tool or other techniques to make sure the 2D view conforms to the curve?
I’m using SketchUp 2022 and would appreciate any tips or guidance on how to achieve this.
Your forum profile says you are using the “Free Plan” of SketchUp which implies you are using the free web-based version so presumably you’ve imported an image of the drawing from AutoCAD. Is that correct? Or are you using a cr acked version of SketchUp 2022?
What operating system? 2022 is not an operating system.
It would help if you share the .skp file with us so we can see exactly what you have to work with and give you proper guidance.
