Align Instant Fence to Terrain

I’m using Instant Fence and would like this fence to follow the slope of the line that I’ve drawn. Can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong.

The fence seems to slope up at both ends of the fence run, when the original line it’s following doesn’t slope up there.

I’d like the fence to slope along the line as it’s drawn, so it comes down the side yard here. Any ideas?

Know there’s other extensions to ‘drop’ things to the certain planes, but seems like this is possible in Instant Fence itself.

Think I figured it out!

So Instant Fence has been set to ‘Drop to Terrain’ every time I used it.

Even if it’s following a path line that is sloped itself, it seems to need a plane surface to have the drop to terrain actually work.

I had that plane there but it was hidden in the Outliner.

Thought it would follow the angle of the line.
