My license is coming up for renewal soon. I went to Trimble site to confirm my payment method so I would continue uninterrupted.
I noticed that the address on file is incorrect. Oddly, there seemed to be no way to edit it. There’s actually a heading under support regarding address change.
So, I sent a request to support informing them that the address was no longer current.
The response I got:
“We are unable to update your company address, since it is used to assign a Trimble legal entity to an account, determine available currencies, determine available payment methods, and it also is used to determine a customer’s taxability.
Here are the steps to follow If you can wait for your subscription to expire.
. Turn off auto-renew for your subscription.
. Save project files locally so they can be reloaded
. Once your subscription has expired, you can create a new account with your updated address.
. Submit a new order for all your licenses.
Here are the steps to follow If you cannot wait for your subscription to expire.
. You will need to return your order so you will lose your access until you submit a new order and reassign all your licenses.

. Request return
. Create new account with their updated address
. Submit a new order for all your licenses”
I have to close my old account and open a new one to effect a change of address?!
I have an address stored with I don’t know how many online providers of various goods and services. Including government agencies. I’ve never had any issue updating my address with any of them.
Except Trimble. Seriously. This is the company that publishes the software I rely on for my livelihood.
