I created a collection of styles (in SketchUp) that I might use in documents in LayOut. I then access that style collection per viewport in LayOut. The same scene can thus be used for different things. Example:
There are three viewports here using the exact same scene. The one on the left uses the model style. It’s Hidden Line with Sections not shown. On the right the bottom viewport in the stack uses Hidden Line with Sections shown so the active section cut from the scene is shown. On top of that is another viewport using the same scene but all the tags except for the one for the carousel horse are turned off and the style is set to Shaded with Texture. To gray out the background on the right I used a rectangle on a layer between viewports with reduced opacity fill.
