Hi `@colin`,

I am facing a severe file corruption issue with a major project file and am hoping you can help me run a recovery script on it.

- **Software Version:** SketchUp Pro 2021
- **Operating System:** Windows
- **File Size:** 910 MB (95,43,69,501 bytes)
- **The Problem:** The software crashed during a save loop immediately after I imported a set of heavy furniture components. Now, both the primary `.skp` file and the `.skb` backup file throw the error: _“This does not appear to be a SketchUp model.”_

I have already tried standard troubleshooting methods, including renaming the `.skb` file, importing it into a blank workspace, opening it via WinRAR/7-Zip, and adjusting Windows Virtual Memory, but nothing has worked. The file wrapper seems to be broken due to the sudden file bloat.

Since the file is nearly 1 GB, I have uploaded it to my cloud drive. Here is the link with full download access enabled:

I would be incredibly grateful if you could look into the component definitions, strip out the heavy furniture asset that caused the crash, and help me salvage the underlying architectural geometry.

Thank you so much for your time and assistance!

The file opens fine in the latest version of SketchUp. Time to update.

Clean up the model once you get it open. Fix incorrect tag usage.

And purge unused stuff. There’s no reason to be hoarding all those componnts and materials in your SketchUp model.
