Could you send me the file?

Sure. Here it is.

I check your file and can’t see any issue. I assume you did not press the Level Grid button to create Grid for Levels?
I can see any issues 2

hello again
I have created interior elevations with the Curic Section plugin.
The Curic Scene Manager neatly files the interior room views into a dedicated folder automatically - I love that.
So far so good.
Now, what bothers me is: updating the scene with 5D+ (V1.8.5 / 2025.04.20) changes the filing location in the Curic Scene Manager.
How am I preventing this unwanted shuffling of the filing order?
Thanks!

Hello,
I try to use bounding box for resizing the scene, but bounding box doesn’t work for me. I am not sure what I did wrong. After I adjust the bounding box, I didn’t know what button to use to save and update the bounding box.
Thank you!

Hi, as you can see at the bottom of the screen while activating the tool, the instruction says: Press Ctrl+Enter.

Hi, you should close the Curic Scene Mananger while creating or updating the scene.

Thanks, i’ll try that

@Cyentruk It would be really cool if moving/rotating a Curic Section plane would automatically regenerate all the tags and info that was produced with 5D+ for that section scene.

It would also make sense to me, if curic section and 5D+ scales would be synced.

Thanks and see you monday.

I’ll think about it. How should I display a notification each time user move a section plane related to 5D+ or using a global settings for that.

Yeah, currently 5D+ scale only makes Curic Section scale changed, I can make them sync.

See you. :star_struck:

Why would a notification be needed?

Thanks for your continued support!

Maybe something like: “The current section plane has been updated. Do you want to update position of 5D+ annotations accordingly?” YES/NO

Hello @cyentruck.

I’ve been playing with 5d+ after seeing it in action at @napperkt meeting last monday. Really good plugin.

I saw SketchUp essentials videos on the plugin, and a couple of videos from you. Going thru the user manual to figure out how to customize it to my drawing standards.

Couple of questions, hoping they were not answered before:

What other plugins does it need or are recommended. I saw curic text, and curic sections (full version). Any others? Do you offer a bundle?

I’m having no luck exporting 2d dwg’s. The plugin stops after switching to cad view.

When placing views in layout, what’s the recommended workflow. Do you recommend stacking viewports, 1 for sketchup 3d, 1 for 5d 2d annotations. How do you normally do this. I have not gotten that far though.

Rotated sections and elevations. Still figuring them out.

Santiago.

Hi Santiago,

Other related extensions

  1. Curic Single Line Text (Curic Text) is required if you want to draw some elements with 5D+ like grids, annotations.
  2. Curic Text license is included when purchasing a permanent license, which is not included with subscribe license.
  3. Curic Section is a recommend.
  4. There is not any other paid extension required and recommended.
  5. There is a bundle for 120USD/3 seats. You’ll have: 5D+ Plus + Curic Text + Curic Section for 3 seats, permanent + free upgrade. This is not exist from the store, you need to send me a paypal payment manually.

Export 2D DWGs

It can stop for some reasons, please check these:

  • Using special characters (non latin) in scene’s name
  • The settings for export 2D graphics > dxf/dwg from native exporter should be reset to default.
  • If you still got the isses, you can send me the file then I can check myself.

Recommend workflow when placing views in LayOut

There is not any recommend workflows, just do as normal workflow you familiar with.
The stacking viewports method is not neccessary. Just place the scene from SketchUp directly. Use your tags system to control what you want to present from SketchUp first. Only for some kind of drawings still need stacking which are RCPs (reflected ceiling plans). You may need to stack a furniture plan with construction grid (in vector mode) above a ceiling plan.

Currently, 5D+ Plus still not handle this. And I have plan to support them from the next release.

I love to hear all your questions and suggestions by the way. Thanks for give it a chance to try.

I’m currently working on the major update for 5D+ Plus version 2.0.0.
Expected release date: September 1st, 2025.

5D+ Plus 2.0.0 will bring a range of powerful new automation features designed to significantly reduce the time needed to create technical drawings and build BIM models in SketchUp.

This version will also add German language support, with a fully localized interface — every button, every element translated with care.

One of the highlights is the brand-new Scene Management tool, which enables you to perform batch operations across multiple scenes at once.

For example:

  • Generate column grids and level grids in bulk
  • Create annotations in bulk
  • Export to LayOut in bulk
  • Update scenes in bulk
    …and more.

Let’s grow together — I’d love your feedback and support throughout the journey! :raising_hands:
