The axes of the objects matter, not the text. It will compare the positions of objects with Storey Levels (from the Building Information, which is actually stored in the model’s attributes).
The text just displays values.

hello @Cyentruk
I continue to explore your 5D+
Today I noticed that after I delete scenes, the scene tags that the plugin had created don`t seem to be cleaned up automatically? Or does 5D+ wipe them eventually itself?
(I know that I can just manually delete these tags any time with the SU tag tray)
Yes, 5D+ don’t auto clean up the “5D+Scene” tag. You have to do it manually.
Thanks for the clarification!
I second that. I`d love such a “multi-tagging” feature, too!
FYI,
My current architectural project has two distinct work phases, which adds more visibility control tags.
Unlike the Condoc plugin, I have decided to add the phase tags on the outermost group.
It gets cumbersome with the additional level of nesting of containers!!!
Thanks for inspire me about the diagram of how nested groups should be in the workflow then I updated the document also
02. sketchup_tag (en).pdf (974.9 KB)
About this, I 'll develope a tool for attach an attribute to the objecs and this can be linked (exported to IFC), instead using tags can be better.
Would the attribute allow for visibility control of all objects “tagged” or “labelled” under that attribute? I haven’t used attributes and am unfamiliar with the specifics…
Interesting bug. This was after I closed SketchUp. It bug splatted and then the 5D window stayed on the window. I had to restart to fix it.
just redownload open Sketchup 2024 and reinstall it
This might be a stupid question, but I’m not seeing it in my investigation. Is there a way to switch the units to Imperial? I didn’t see anything specific in the user manual, but I could have missed it. Thanks!
As a note that adds up to what @JustinTSE said, I’d prefer to introduce floor heights using the same unita as the model, which in my case would be meters instead of milimiters.
Thanks in advance!
I agree. It would make more sense to use the same precision as set in Sketchup settings also in Building info. @Cyentruk
I separated the precision and unit from the extension with the Model units by a request from another user, who want to display dimensions in mm but the Level in centimeter or meter by his country code.
I understand… Just saying… You could always add another setting to the 5d+ settings to customize precision.
I do that, but I was talking about this one:
That’s the one where I have to think and I think better (or less badly) in meters.
Yes, one thing that bothers me a lot in Layout is that it uses the same precision as the sketchup model, but I like to model with a lot more precision than what I like to display on documentation.
This should be solved in Layout side, as it influences dimensions and area or height labels, but you’ve solved that by moving them into Sketchup Model with 5D+. As you are way more agile than Trimble team though, it makes sense for me that each parameter can have a different unit and precision and that they might be different than the sketchup model units settings.
For instance:
Oops - dumb mistake on my part. I was using your example model but didn’t think to switch the model units to Imperial
FYI my video on this is in progress - it’s delayed a bit by the release of SketchUp 2025
Thanks!

That’s amazing! I’m really looking forward to this video and truly appreciate you for making it.
