5D+ Plus - Automate the creation of Construction Drawings

Absolutely, Yes!

That’s the gap for dimensions. If you turn on dimensions when creating grid, you 'll see dimensions are filled to the gap.

Please remeber, all 5D+ elements are geometries and you can always manual stretch them with tool, for example: “Curic Stretch”

I changed the location of the labels/grids folder and not all the marks are loading (even though they are all in the folder).
What could be the cause?
Thanks

Did you change any name of skp file or keep the same names? If you change the name, you need to point to the file with new name.

Keep te same, nothing changed inside the folder

How it 's going if re-select at each red file?
This should be like this.

Your desktop is setup to sync with a cloud, like OneDrive? Is it in syncing progress?

The default names of some labels changed in 1.8. Maybe this is why it’s pointing to wrong files?

Yes, that was the reason. @Cyentruk reminded me in private, where the label/mark samples are, lol. My mistake :v:

@Cyentruk Is it possible to revert to the old grid structure?
In the video, the first grid structure is the old model (before ver. 1.8), after I reloaded the new grid marks, the circles are further from the plane, it doesn’t look ok

I believe inside grids folder you are pointing (except 2 folders style 1 and style 2), there are skp files for grid, so the extension using these files, and these are the old grids in small size.

You need to point directly to the folder contains the skp files, for example: must be point to style 1 folder, or style 2 folder, not the parent folder (grids folder) of 2 these folders.

New labels from 1.8.0 is bigger than the old one and I had mentioned about these changes in the release notes.

You probably misunderstood me. I was referring to the distance between the last dimension and the circle.

Can I change this distance? If not, I could add another, total dimension.

But, I’d want to know if I can change this distance if needed.

No, you can’t change the distance, this is changed according the larger size of new grid bubble to ensure the safe distance to handle translating bubbles when they are getting too closed.

Hello! Just a small bug report; Version 1.8.2:

I tested the creation of ‘detail’ views, based on the main floor plan`s section.
When refreshing the scene, some visual settings change - it looks like a bug to me.

Thanks, that’s clearly a bug.

  1. Can you please recommend a video tutorial on how to put ‘‘Floor Label’’ in the section? Why is this mark related? finishing floor, space component?

Edit: I found the video:https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxI4P-hLejHQ7kLcoKTeavMukW_Gm6SMx6?si=a7dn5fEKaUHBsmFS
Can I automate the text of the labels, are they related to what? Or do you manually edit the text?

  1. @Cyentruk I often have to navigate into settings/ Custom settings/ annotations. change the folder, find the label, open the Su label to edit it.
Don’t you think it would be easier (like in the case of 5d styles) to make 3 variants of choosing the marks/labels model? With the left click, I could change 1 of 3 variants, with Ctrl+ left click open SU model directly to modify it.

problems with update of Level Labels (5D+ Plus 1.8.2):

Dear 5D+ users, I struggle to update the data in the level labels after amendments to the design/geometry. It appears that the Curic-single-line lost its link to the geometry?

What am I doing wrong? Comments would be appreciated

Here is what I tried, all unsuccessfully:

  1. right-click > 5D+ Update selected annotation
  2. right-click > 5D+ Update annotations in all scenes
  3. right-click > Single-Line-Text > redraw
  4. right-click > Single-Line-Text > re-link with model
  5. right-click > Single-Line-Text > link tool (i had to press ESC because nothing happened…)

P.S.: I am using

  • latest version of 5D+,
  • default level label template file, freshly downloaded sample folder
  • Curic-single-line extension is the latest version, too.
  • latest SU 24.0.594, 64-bit on a PC

The level label is not updated from the context menu like other labels, because it not linked with any objects. The content of it is auto updated when changing its position by Z axis. If it’s not working, that is a bug in my code.
The level labels works like this gif. The labels use reference with “origin” will contain “code” inside, the other just contain normal text.

That Floor labels currently cannot automate the text. You need to manually edit the text.
If you want to automate the text, you can create the label your self with variables @.

I don’t think so. While working in a project, I rarely change the style of all annotations. So I think it shoul not confuse user by buttons like those.

I noticed that the materials applied to the label backgrounds are not imported. Would it be possible to add such an option?

Thank you

Hi Cuong,

Is it possible to have the set of rules that make up this code?

Also, it’s the axis of the text that matters or the axis of the component the text is inserted into?

When the label is imported into your model to create label, Curic Single Line Text will delete the objects inside the label and create new one. So it can not keep the material has assign frome deleted objects.

But you have another option by using tag in Curic Border. This will help you display “material” from tags for scenes using style like “White (W), Grey (G), Black (B) and Color by Tag (T)…” or any styles with Color by Tag mode is ON.
Then you can set the template label like this:

Once it is imported into your current model, it will be like this (keep tag/layer from the template).

Then you can add a texture into the tag control “color/material” for tag.

Please notice, if you want to display colors in “Hidden Line Mode”, you need to add atleast a texture (can be a white image) into material of tag.
