3D warehouse "update" not available

Hi, I hope someone can help as it’s stumped me - I click to open the 3D warehouse and it tells me I need to update Sketchup for it to work. I have the latest version of Pro and also have downloaded it and installed three times now just to make sure.
3D Warehouse icon (sketchup requires update) just takes me to the Sketchup browser page basically requesting me to buy a package which I don’t need to as I have the 2025 Pro which runs out on November. Please help me as I need to build models for customers!

Thanks in advance.

What operating system are you really using? You selected iOS which is used on iPhones and other smaller devices but the desktop version of SketchUp doesn’t run on it. Or are you using SketchUp for iPad?

If you are using the desktop version, have you installed it or are you running it from the disk image (DMG) file?

Are you opening SketchUp 2025?

If you were using 2024, then you’ll have done the update and you will have both versions. If you start 2024 again, it will ask you to install the newer version.
If you don’t need multiple versions of SketchUp installed, you can uninstall old versions from your computer

I’m using the latest software on my MacBook Air. Not sure what it’s called.

I’ve used sketchup for about 15 years and never once had a problem with it.

Sorry for being uninformative but I’m not exactly technical. I just download the newest updates, drag them into the applications folder and then click on the application when I need to use the program. I’ve not done anything differently since I started using it but also never had a problem.

Does SKP live here:

The status page indicates all is good:

A few versions ago we made a change in the Mac version, so that if you did by mistake run SketchUp from the disk image, it would not upset macOS like it used to. I tested that now, to see if it could account for 3D Warehouse not working.

Verifying and launching SketchUp is slower when running from the disk image, so I would not recommend it! But, it did work, and the 3D Warehouse window opened ok.

To get the message about needing to update should only happen if you are running 2021 or earlier.

So I removed all the old versions temporarily and downloaded the newer version again and installed it. It seems to be working now so my guess is that the app didn’t update on my desktop and therefore was run-in an older version.
All back to normal now and I’ve put the older versions back on iCloud in case I need them for whatever reason.

Thanks for your help everyone.
