Hi I often want to do quick 2d sketches in 2d just lines and show then as sketchy lines so I can quickly communicate early ideas / concepts (napkin sketch)
whenever a curve/arc is used when you zoom out the curve disappears, see screen grab attched. it doesnt happen on the defualt style, any advice on how to get round this, I love the sketch styles for this
That happens when the curves are exploded and the sketchy style doesn’t have short enough strokes. Select the edges of the curves and weld them. You can see that the large arc has been partially exploded when you apply the sketchy style because the lower part of it is represented as short segments. BTW, this isn’t specific to 2D, either.
Here you can see what happens when the edges are welded. You can use the native Weld but I like Eneroth Auto Weld because it welds circles back into circles and arcs back into arcs. The native Weld just makes curves so you don’t get the inferences you get with circles and arcs.
FWIW, in the Airbrush style you selected in the video, the shortest stroke is 32 pixels long. when edge segments display on screen at less than 32 segments long they will disappear because there isn’t a shorter stroke image to use. Also, Halo is set to 4 by default in that style which actually makes those short segments drop out even before the 32 pixel threshold.
