2026 VRAY Coming soon?

I downloaded SU2026 yesterday and was pleased. All of my models and layout files updated without and blatant bugs and seemed to update seamlessly.

This morning I went to test VRAY and it’s not in my model and I’m not able to access anything for it. I did some research and it seems VRAY has not been updated as of yet. Does anyone know when that is coming? I think I will revert and undo the update to 2026 until I can use VRAY unless it is coming very soon.

Hoping that I’m missing something simple.

Minutes after posting this I figured it out.

I had to open a model with SU2025 and update VRAY. The most recent update has 2026 capability.

I must of missed the most recent VRAY update.

2026 is not an update! Every major version is a standalone program, so your previous version should still be there.

Also: with every major version you have to install your extensions as they do not come over automatically. So maybe you have to install Vray in SketchUp 2026 if you haven’t done that yet..

Edit: I see you’ve got it sorted. Don’t forget to updat your forum profile, it says SketchUp 2024..

I was able to migrate extensions and bring over everything to my new standalone program of Trimble Sketchup 2026. Everything but VRAY migrated easily with the migrate extensions tool during setup. (IMHO one of the best tools they have implemented)
Once I exited the program of Sketchup 2026 and entered the program of Sketchup 2025 I was able to “update” VRAY. After updating VRAY in SU2025 it miraculously appeared in a completely different program of SU2026.

Getting lost in semantics wastes time.

You can also try Migrate extensions under the menu item Extensions> Migrate Extensions (now packaged with SU in 2026). It wont migrate things like V-Ray or Enscape, but a majority of plugins will get brought over.
