# 2020 sketch will not allow 2019 layout file to open

I am trying to open a file I created in Layout 2019 version, I have upgraded my SU to 2020 version. I get an error message saying I cannot open the file.  
How can I open a LO 2019 file now that I am using SU2020?

What exactly is the message.

SketchUp 2020 can open SketchUp files made in any previous version unless there’s some corruption of the file or perhaps if SketchUp isn’t installed correctly.
