2016 SketchUp Pro problem with activating license

Back in 2016 I purchased this program SK Pro, fast forward I tried to decommission my program so that I could reinstall it on my new computer and now I have found out that somehow sketchup has blocked the internet for me to decommissioning and from me activating my license, when I called SketchUp a lady suggested that I stop using this program and start paying for a monthly subscription. She also suggested that a geek squad person maybe could turn some ports on and off to connect to their server, don’t know what that’s all about. Any suggestions but without the availability to connect to their server I guess I’m just out of luck. Trying to leave my feelings out of this but it seems disingenuous to turn off my ability to activate my license something that I have paid good money for. Thanks John

FYI, your license came with one year of guaranteed support for installation and use, plus one year of access to the support teams.

That period would have expired around nine years ago.
