2 Groups butted together at a hidden Line - Group material bleeds through

Hello~
Funky one here…
When I create two groups, apply materials to the faces inside the group, and hide the lines that meet…
When I move the camera to just the right angle, it reveals a little pixel-wide sliver of whatever material is assigned to those group objects.

Showing a concept with faces in yellow, and the group materials in blue.

I’m trying to show Rift Oak shelves with a solid edge on sheet stock, and I’d love to hide the joint better. (Note I’ve got dotted linetypes at the back to indicate teeny-tiny v-grooves that are too small to see if I actually draw them. I’m trying to convey flush-joints and micro-groove joints to designers without causing confusion)

In the first image it looks like you are seeing the back face color bleeding through. Open the groups for editing and hide the mating faces.

Here are three pairs of objects. The ones in the middle have only the edges hidden as in your first screenshot. The nearest ones have the mating faces hidden as well.

The back face bleed is more pronounced when shadows are turned on, too.

Ohhhh! Well that makes sense~
If I hide the faces, I can’t see them through the ‘crack’ there.

That hidden face doesn’t show up as a line when I cut a section, but I think that’s a good thing in this case.

Thank you for the super fast and excellent response!
