Hi has anyone else noticed that 1001Bit Pro tools are often having trouble ?
In particular the panel divide tool… anyone have solutions ?
Thanks in advance !
From the error output it looks as though the code is calling erase! on a model entity that has already been deleted in paneldivide.rb at code line 763.
Send this information along with you OS platform and SketchUp build number to the author of the extension. Only they can correct Ruby errors in encrypted extension code.
1001 bit tools is no longer being developed, so I doubt you receive any answer from the extension creators.
It would be nice if developers had an option to open source their plugins once they no longer want to maintain them. Good tools shouldn’t have to disappear just because the original developer moves on.
Agree 100%. The problem is that on their website they’re still selling the extension, so they’re still profiting from a tool that doesn’t work properly and surely won’t be compatible with future versions of SketchUp. That’s a scam to me
Free version of it works on my sketchup 2026..
It’s a very old version of Ruby - it’s encrypted as RBS files [which are known to have been compromised], this means that any enterprising person could ‘extract’ the RB files, using a readily available hacking app. With some follow up editing to correct compatibility errors - which result from various API / Ruby changes over the decades…
Not that I am in any way advocating doing anything immoral or illegal - Just sayin’ …![]()
just say you are an AI company doing “research” and “pentests” and you’ll be fine. ![]()
it’s not hacking if it’s to train an AI model ![]()
Only if you shred and destroy the source after you are finished…
It entirely depends on how and where they went. So be carefull about accusing of scamming!
Hey Paddy, 1001bit Pro is working on my end.
SU Pro 2026 26.2.243 Win11 Ent 25H2
Thanks to all of you who replied !
I think I’ve found the culprit - LOTT plugin (Lord Of The Toolbars) - I’ve had issues in the past where this plugin doesn’t play nice with others so I disabled it and restarted SU & the pannel tool I was trying to use yetserday worked fine.
& Yes, sadly Goh who wrote that suite has gone AWOL - it’s been years since he replied to anything, and I hope nothing bad happened, he is a nice kind chap from what I remember of our conversations over a decade ago… hého
Sorry I don’t understand what do you mean with that. I’m not accusing anyone, I said that selling software that is not developed anymore and probably won’t be usable in the future is considered a scam to ME, cause you can’t even ask for a refund. But probably my perception of scam is wrong.
(p.s. continued via direct message to @franciscofiallosb several days ago / all is fine!)
