I’m an amateur user of sketch up. I have been using it since 2015. I’m high school student at Seville (SPAIN).
I have done many models of architecture. I have improved all my skills in a short period of time at doing this type of models.
I have been focused in the mainly skycrapers of my country. I have done the model of the highest tower in Spain (Torre Cristal) by Cesar Pelli and finally a Norman Foster’s building situated in the bussiness center of Madrid between others
Now I’m focused at new projects that I will share in a short period of time.
I hope and want to get a good placement and popularity of all my projects ,a location on an blog or a webpage would be perfect.

I work at Numatic International ( we make the Henry Vacuum ) as a Graphic Designer. I also design and create Exhibitions for Numatic which is how I got into Sketchup. More recently I use SU to create and render products.

Where do you use SketchUp? I just been trying out sketchup for fun. It has become a hobby
Why do you use SketchUp and what is your favorite thing about it? My father is an architect and I have always been a fan of his work. I been having fun modeling his houses just to test my limits and the software itself.
How proficient are you in SketchUp? Not so sure yet, I just started last year, but have rarely had the time to practice. Being an OCD perfectionist, I tend to be very strict with my models.
What is your current set up? Asus: 8GB; Intel CORE i7; SketchUp Pro 2015.

Anything else you would like to tell us? I am originally a portrait artist/painter and a sculptor, but haven’t done much of that lately for years I have been sickly… I am very new to 3D modeling and I find it addictive.

Do you enjoy long walks on the beach…? No, I am a very lazy person (well, technically I am physically weak and probably dying soon LOL). I use sketchup like a game. I use it as a stress reliever/therapy.

I want to 3D model small scale models of a catamaran for in water testing.
I am a beginning Sketchup user.
My setup is Macbook Pro running OS X El Capitan, and Sketchup Make 2016.
I do not have a 3DW page.
I find the Sketchup learning curve to be steep, so I hope to get help through this forum.

I’ve been using Sketchup for years – It serves sometimes as my basic relaxation tool!
This summer, I’ve been having fun taking pictures of things I see in my travels, and then making a model of them. My long-term project is creating a model of a hotel my 2nd great-grandfather ran in the 1870’s. Unfortunately, it burned down in February, 1910 – so, needless to say, I never saw it.
I have about four or five photos to go on. I’m not looking for exactness, but more interested in getting a good sense of what it looked and felt like. There are a couple things I’d like help with, but first I’ll see if this reaches anyone.

Where do you use SketchUp? Personally/professionally? I currently use Make for personal projects, but hope to begin using Pro for professional purposes soon!
Why do you use SketchUp and what is your favorite thing about it? **The simplicity is brilliant, and yet the plugin architecture makes it robust and flexible.
My favorite thing about SketchUp is the rapid workflow. I can go from blank to a helpful visual in just minutes, making iterative improvements a real possibility.**

I use SketchUp…for SketchUp. I’m the Art Editor and chief modeller at FormFonts, so I spend my time doing little else other than making SU-friendly, low-poly components.
