Hi Lisanne,

I’d like to follow this procedure, but I can’t see the image mentioned here …

… don’t want to mess it up by tinkering when I’m not sure of what I’m trying to do!

Have I missed the image somehow? Sorry if it’s there, I can’t see it. How do I view it, please?

Martin (Newbie (obviously!))

hi Martin

the image is missing, but not really needed…
when you open the .lic file ‘Save Copy As’ and ‘backup’ to the name before the .lic bit…
then follow the instructions and comeback if it fails, knowing you can always rename the renamed file if it goes tit's up…

Hi Martin_123
Here are the graphics

If you are on a Mac:

If you are on Windows:

Thank you Lisanne! Job done.

Neither of these seem to work in 2017 Make:
##NoTrial
or
##NonCommercialUse,NoTrial in the Sketchup.lic file

Anyone have any suggestions? It worked in 2016.

Scott

did you have edited the “SketchUp.lic” in the program directory (which probably won’t work) or the one in "%PROGRAMDATA%\SketchUp\SketchUp 2017"?

This worked. Everyone: please go to ProgramData to fine SketchUp.lic
Thank you.

That is, if you are using 2017 version.

Found out that the SketchUp.lic under Make 2017 is an empty file. Added the ##NoTrial tot the file anyways… did the same to the EW.lic and the liclog.txt. After saving all modifications opened SketchUp back up and got the notification of 30 day Trial period being over. Only had to click " I agree" to continue under the free license.
